UN WEEK Presents an art exhibition: “Through Refugee Eyes,” an immersive art exhibition by Syrian artist Abdulazez Dukhan, Feb. 16, 2017 in the Academic Quad. Abdulazez Dukhan is an 18-year-old Syrian Refugee artist and photographer who fled Syria four years after the start of the revolution. His journey took him on the same path as many other Syrian refugees, through Turkey and eventually into a Refugee camp in Greece. He uses his art to tell powerful stories about the lives of Refugees through his project Through Refugee Eyes, a portion of which is on display around the Occidental Campus.
Sponsored by the Kahane UN Program and presented by Occidental College’s Diplomacy & World Affairs Department with support from Kahane Fund, The Young Initiative, IPO, UNA-USA, IRAP and Oxy Arts.
