The photos are part of Professor Heffernan’s PPE Portrait Project, which was planned with the help of Dr. Brown, one of TIME magazine’s Persons of the Year for his work during the Ebola outbreak in West Africa. Dr. Brown is the director of the ELWA II ETU.

Professor Heffernan was there to work on her PPE (personal protective equipment) Portrait Project, which helps health care workers and patients fighting the Ebola virus disease in West Africa.
