Occidental College professor and LA Times architecture critic Christopher Hawthorne hosts 3rd Los Angeles, which asks “What do we want the LA River to be?” The event began with a walking tour along the Bowtie Project in the Glendale Narrows section of the Los Angeles River followed by a discussion at Clockshop of the river’s emerging role as public and park space for Los Angeles. Featuring Carol Armstrong of the L.A. River Project Office, architect Michael Maltzan, Deputy Mayor for City Services Barbara Romero and Clockshop founder and director Julia Meltzer. April 22, 2015.
