Occidental College’s thought-provoking Third L.A. series presents, "L.A. House and Home: New Paths in Housing Policy and Residential Architecture" on Monday, December 2, 2019 in Choi Auditorium and moderated by Christopher Hawthorne, Oxy professor of practice and Chief Design Officer, Design Office, the Mayor’s Office of Economic Development.
This 3rd L.A. event brought together policymakers and leading architects as they discussed and summarized L.A.’s homelessness, housing affordability and single-family zoning, which are squarely at the top of the policy agenda across California. Furthermore, Los Angeles is engaged in a growing national conversation around the relationship between good design and good housing and the legacies of redlining and exclusionary zoning.
