People gather to listen to poetry outside the Mary Norton Clapp Library during the Kick-Off event for "The Big Read: Robinson Jeffers and the Ecologies of Poetry" at Occidental College on October 1, 2009. A Robinson Jeffers exhibit was also unveiled and a bobcat from the Wildlife Waystation was also at the event. Jeffers was a graduate of the class of 1905.
