Top White House officials hold America's Great Outdoors Initiative in Occidental College's Thorne Hall on Thursday, June 8, 2010. The Los Angeles-based listening session was one of several being held around the country and was intended to be a place to hear the public's ideas for building a 21st-century conservation and recreation agenda and reconnecting Americans with the outdoors. The program was launched in April by President Barack Obama '83.
