Mary Beth Heffernan, professor of art and art history at Occidental College, works in Monrovia the capital of Liberia, Africa in 2015. Professor Heffernan was there to work on her PPE (personal protective equipment) Portrait Project, which helps health care workers and patients fighting the Ebola virus disease in West Africa.
