Installation in the AGC rotunda by Occidental College student Jacqueline Surdell ’15 as part of her Project 2015. Photo from April 25, 2015.
From Surdell: “Project 2015 marks an incredible opportunity to push fiber art to new levels. For my first artist in-residence installation, I will build on previous fiber and macramé investigations to construct a piece that incorporates industrial architecture and works within an architecturally defined space. Incorporating the staircase will not only provide visual interest, but will provide a set geometry prompting the sculpture’s final form.”
