The lab is simply called "Lenses". The students investigate how to determine the focal length of a converging lens. The apparatus is called an "Optical Bench" and consists of an incandescent light source along with a lens, an imaging target and a screen upon which to focus the image. By projecting the target through the lens onto the screen at varying distances the focal length of the lens can be determined.<br />
