Occidental College alumni, faculty, students and staff meet with 2012 Scholar-in-Residence Daniel Widener, Associate Professor of History at UC San Diego, in the new Alumni Center. Daniel then gave a lecture, "The Art of Creative Survival: Black Agendas Past and Future" in Mosher 1. Sept. 18, 2012.<br />
The event was funded by the generous donations of alumni who established the Stafford, Ellison, Wright Endowment Committee, named after Occidental's first African American graduates, Janet Stafford, George Ellison, and Barbara Bowman Wright.
